Default Explorer of the Seas 12-night ship and ports

Hi everyone,

We have several relatives in their late 60's/early 70's who will be sailing on the 12-night Explorer Caribbean cruise from NY. The ship will be stopping at:

They are really looking forward to this cruise, and they have several questions that they would really appreciate your help and advice on.

First, are there any washing machines onboard. If not, are there any "fill a laundary bag" specials?
When is the earliest that they should arrive at the port?

They have been to St. Thomas, San Juan, and St. Maarten. They would like to do special/memorable ship excursions in DOMINICA, BARBADOS, ANTIGUA, and ST. KITTS.

-If they book excursions through the RCCL website, do they have to do so 2 or 3 days before sailing?
-Does anyone have any RCCL excursions or regular excursions / places to visit in the ports? Any must do tours (through the ship or not, if possible ship excursions in DOMINICA, BARBADOS, ANTIGUA, and ST. KITTS.), or must see beaches?

Thanks for all the help. It is greatly apprecaited!

I think for Barbados, Harrisons Caves, would be a wonderful take-in. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it..Check out this web site, for all the info you will need.

There are no washing machines, you have to pay for the cleaning service. Wish I could help you more.

I always try to arrive in Cape Liberty around 11:30am - that way I'm on the ship early.

My family, and a group of friends, took this cruise over the holidays - with the exception of going to Dominica instead of St. Maarten - and we all loved it!

I'm sorry that I can't help with excursions....whenever we cruise we always hire a taxi to show us all the sights on the island.
