When can you REALLY board the Liberty of the Seas?
I called RCCL and they say the boat leaves at 5, we HAVE to be on by 3:30 and can board as early as 1. It seems that when I have followed their instruction in the past, when we pull into the parking lot, we see other cruisers already on the boat. This leads me to believe you can board earlier than they say. Anyone know the real story?

Usually about 11 as long as there weren't any hiccups by Customs or the Port. But be warned you cannot go to your rooms until 1PM.

That's good to know, thanks for the quick reply. By boarding early like that, do you tend to get your luggage delivered to your room early as well? Are the ship's activities open - such as the flow rider, rock climbing, etc (obviously casino is closed)?

Thanks again.

JimT is correct. One pm is the time of access to your cabin, but if customs are cleared, etc. you can board before that and hang out on deck. Most activities are not open until after leaving port. There are some dining/beverage options open though.

Our two cruises have been with groups who boarded together about 1:30 -2:00 quickly and easily..... all pre-checked online. I know a lot of people try to board between 11:00 and 12:00, but from what I've heard you run the risk of long lines due to so many trying to board early and the inevitable glitches that go along with trying to turnaround 2 groups of 1200 to 3000+ passengers.

By boarding after 1:00 we were able to go directly to our cabin and drop off our carry-ons before exploring the ship. Much easier.

All times are GMT -4. The time now is 09:21 PM.
