How was your trip to the Mexican Riviera aboard Vision of the Seas during Spring Break?

I am thinking about going on the same trip later this year, and I would love to read about someone's experience(s).

Thanks in advance!

Vision of the Seas will have me as apassenger some day. Why you might ask??? When we were at our timeshare in Cabo at Villa Del Palmar in March 2007, Vision just kept coming in closer and closer until it seemed like it was practically on the beach in front of the Office. The tide gods were taking care of Vision's captain that day! What a sight it was. If I can find my picture, I'll post it! Is the Mexican Riviera your trip. This ship is just my size!

How was the mexican riveria cruise. My wife and I have been looking into going on it but arent sure if we will enjoy it. A few years back we did a cruise that included cosumel and didnt care for it. We are also waitting for Mariner of the Seas to come to the west coast. This ship will always have a special place in our heart (honeymoom and first ever cruise).

We've done MV 4 times, although not on RCCL. What do you want to know?

Pat,
Are the people at the ports pushy. When shopping in cosumel it seemed like every store we went into the sales people were right in our face trying to get us to purchase everything we touched. We learned after the first store to look but dont touch unless we wanted to buy. Any information would be great.

Yes the people are pushy, but the ship is great, did the MR last November and it is OK not my favorite.

We just got back from Mexican Riviera on the Vision and had a wonderful time. We were in the Owner's Suite, 8000, and it was truly spectacular in every way. Fun perks like free champagne and priority tender tickets, and the suite itself is just lovely. Plus 8000 is right next to the radio room so we could stand on our balcony and wave at the captain and crew on their "balcony." Very fun.

We booked our excursions through RC and were thrilled with all of them. Particularly loved the Dolphin Express experience at Puerto Vallarta.

Yes, the shopkeepers are "pushy," but it's a game and if you smile and laugh and banter and bargain with them you will all have a wonderful time. Don't take it too seriously, don't get bent out of shape, just laugh and move on. We found that in particular if you try to speak a little Spanish everybody is very friendly and warm.

We plan to do the same cruise again when the RC brings the larger ship around the the west.
