Default Zip Line/Labadee

Anyone do the Labadee Zip Line??

How much does it cost??

Are there height restrictions for kids??

Is it a fast and quick ride??

On Labadee it's $80.00 per person to go on the zip line. There are height and weight restrictions; I know weight is 250lbs or less and I'm not too sure on height. They take you on a "mini-zip line" first to demonstrate what it will be like when you get to the big one. While on the big one you'll be zipping for about 3-4 minutes tops. It's a really cool view, it's one of those do it once things and not again; at least the one on labadee.

They've built this zip line to make idiot proof, basically all you do is sit, you literally don't have to do a thing. Unlike those zip line tours we've done in Belize and Jamacia where you wear a leather glove and control your speed; Labadee has it so it will stop you automatically so you just sit and enjoy the ride.

If you've never done it before, try it. I'd recommend an AM tour as they get backed up in the afternoon especially if the winds pick up; they've been known to close the tour down due to excessive winds.

Thanks Diamond,

I looked on youtube for the videos on the Labadee Zip and they show the small zip and big zip that goes over the water. I thought you got to pick which one you want to do but you get to do both.

So you have to arrange it on the ship? A tour? I was thinking getting to Labadee head over to the Zip and pay to ride?

My son is 12 so I'm sure he is tall enough and I'm under 250 so I should be fine too.

I'm glad it's idiot proof because some days I can be an idiot.

Thanks for the info!

You def. want to book the tour ahead of time via www.rccl.com before you sail, it was sold out before most folks made it onboard the ship on day 1. Def. no availablity while you're in port and on want to sign-up on the island. From start to finish it's about 1 hour and 15 minutes of your time. It takes a while to get the safety breifing, driven around Labadee to the 2 zip lines and then back.

It's my #1 pick for our trip in October. And, I plan on paying for it as soon as RCL opens up bookings weeks before departure. Wooo hooooo I'm psyched just thinking about it

To help clarify, you do not land in the water, they have a metal platform on the beach that you land on. It's a very controlled and thought out process, they leave very little to chance the way they've designed this thing.

I am sure RCI has safe equipment on their island but did you see this?

Yes, that is a lot of money and the actual ride is over on minutes or seconds. I took one of my sons on the Wave runner tour and that was an hour and alot of fun. We both rode for about $100. I took my other son a time before at Coco Cay.

Yeah, I think I'm going to pass after seeing that video. My wife and I are going on May 24th too and were going to do the zip line. $160 is alot for approx. 45 seconds of zipping. It does look like alot of fun though.

I thought it would be around $30. to Zip which would be ok but now that I think about $160.00 for two is way too much.

I want my total seapass account to be $160.00 for the whole cruise!
