Coconut Grove is actually about 6 or so miles from Bayside / Port of Miami. My guess is you could get a cab there no problem at all.
Coconut Grove is wonderful. I've been there many times. Cool little shops.. an outdoor mall and plenty of places to eat. I can never resist going to the cheesecake factory.
