Well the website for Royal C. that they COULD stop someone from boarding if they are hiding alcohol in their luggage. Maybe they have not done it yet but why take the risk in case they decide one day to follow thru with their policy. Man up and pay for drinks, it's a cruise.
They might not board you for bringing a case of booze, but for one bottle (if found), they will just take it away.

if security finds a bottle of booze in your checked luggage, they will pull you aside and take your liquor from you, aside from some embarassment and lost money thats about all that will happen to you. Techinically they could refuse to board you but the chances of that happening over one bottle is very rare, its is against company policy, so you have to decide if you want to break the rules or not
