Default No more luggage tags????

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere along the line that luggage tags are no longer being provided with your docs.
I read that the staff at the dock will tag your luggage when they receive it.

Can anyone see a positive side to any of this?
Seems to me that it would slow down the entire process
and open up avenues for errors that didn't exist before.

What's the scoop?????

I did not get any tags on our last cruise. I showed the porter my "tag" that got printed online and he went over to a machine like the airlines use and printed out our tags. He put them on the bags and that was that. It took maybe 3 minutes.

Not a bad idea. I know we threw a bunch of ours away since it appeared they gave us 2-3 or more per person!

I suppose now with E-docs that it would eliminate luggage tags to get mailed. As long as the process doesn't take a lot of time, sounds like a good plan.

If your docs are coming by mail, tags will be in the booklet like always. Just got some last week.

We have been getting all of our doc by email recently. There is a copy of your luggage tags in them. I take that to the library, copy it several times and then lamintate my copies. I cut these into "tags", punch a hole in the top and use plastci locking closures to put them on my luggage. You could also put a larger hole i n it and thread it through your regular luggage tag to keep it on your bags.

It may depend on whether you use a TA or not. We have three cruises scheduled and we use a TA who says we will get luggage tags with our documents in the mail. We received the first ones today.

It does not matter if you use a TA. It is all dependent on if you opt for e-tixs or snail mail.

I think the that the days of the snail mail tixs are going to be history.

I never made that choice one way or the other. We have taken over 20 cruises and never have received e-docs. Don't want them either !!

We just got our booklets and it had preprinted luggage tags in it. I must say they are much nicer then the ones we had to print out for NCL.

My travel agent sent us E documents Royal Caribbean sent to her, she printed and mailed them to me. I was used to getting the booklet in the mail with the tickets, luggage tags all the information you needed and shore excursions to pick from I like this much better. Before I recieved the edocs I called Royal Caribbean to ask them if I could have the book sent to me instead ,they said my travel agent requested the edocs. They can request one or the other, wish she would have asked me. I asked them if I could change it, they said no not after she requested them it would cost $30.00 per person to have the book sent now. So you need to make sure the travel agent knows what you want. :cry :
