Default Is the Midnight buffet still on?

We have a family crusie sceduled on the new Independance of the Seas in Feb 2009... my daughter in law heard a rumor that they no longer do a midnight buffet. Does anyone know?

She's correct, or at least it isn't like it used to be. They will usually have the "big buffet" one night during a cruise (seven day) and other types of food offered the other nights, but the old concept of the midnight buffet every night is a thing of the past.

On the Mariner a couple of weeks ago, there was only a buffet out by the pool on one night. The midnight and the chocolate buffets have become things of the past. They really were a LOT of work, and there was always a LOT of food left over.

Glad I have the memories!

Ditto Sheffie-they are no more. As my bw always said, the worst thing about them was they were at midnight.
