You can go to www.royalcaribbeanproductions.com under talent to see photos and a little bio about James and other cruise directors.

Wasn't Ken Rush the CD on Liberty in the Fall? Did it change and if so, where is Ken?

In 06, when I was on the media cruise for the Freedom, Ken was the Cd. I rmembered him from years ago. At that time, he wanted to leave to go to Hollywood and get a talk show, at least that was the rumor. Guess he had a change of heart:)

I guess Ken rather be a CD.
Here is a piece of an interview.

Are you satisfied with your career choice?

I tell people you either love or hate living at sea. As corny as it sounds, after 14 years, I still love what I do. I love waking up every day loving what I do.

CQ, I will be very interested to hear about your Liberty cruise and comparison to the Freedom. Although the ships are near identical. I have been looking at the Week of March 28th next year and have narrowed it down to Freedom or Liberty out of Miami. The Liberty does and Eastern with 3 sea days that week including Labadee out the 28th. The Freedom is doing the Western the 29th and $200 more for same cabin. I was hoping Freedom would have come do Port Canaveral by then but it does not look like it.

I compared cheaper cruises on Ruby Princess and one of the Carinval tubs and just can't see myself straying from Royal Caribbean. Not only that but my kids say they would feel out of place on anything but RCI.

Alot of sea days on Liberty just a stop in St. Martaan and Labadee I'm not counting San Juan because it gets there at 3pm. Had 2 excellent times on the Freedom and another excellent time awaits me on the Liberty. 8)

Freedom does price out higher all the weeks I looked at.

I too gave Carnival and Princess some thought and brought home brochures but I found the Carnival and Princess brochures in the garbage the next day. When I questioned the kids why are the brochures in the garbage they said they rather stay home then go on Carnival or Princess.

And the only reason I did consider the other lines is because they are cheaper but my heart belongs to RCCL.

If you are doing the yearly spring break cruise with the kids RCCL is the way to go. Maybe give Princess a try without the kids.

I could have gone on a princess ship instead of the LIberty for $1,000. less and Princess was a 9 niter.

How far is the Miami drive from where you are located?

Sincerely,

CQ

CQ, Miami is a 4 hour drive of about 280 miles but my sister lives near the port and we would go the day before, stay with her and save the parking fee since she would drop us off and pick us up. So that is worth $100. It was $2941 for 3 of us on Liberty and $3100 on Freedom for an iside cabin on deck 10 near the rear atrium. I prefer less ports and more sea days. I will save on excursions. There were things on the ship we did not do enough of. i.e. rock, wall, mini golf, ect... and with the flowrider, we will be busy at that. They don't call me Dave the Wave for nothing. 8)

I would save the $200. and do Liberty! I too like sea days! Liberty is more sea days! THe only port I will spend money on is St. Martaan, Labadee only costs me $5.00 for the chair guy and San Juan I'm not getting off the ship.

4 hour drive is not bad at all and your sister lives in the area that is even better. 8)

Yes, but we are talking about the Liberty. I still can't believe he got away with that Borat suit with all the kids around. That was insane!

The kids that were around the pool area while he was being borat were laughing louder then the adults. 8)

I was on the Liberty last August and Marc Walker was the CD. I thought he was very good. What happened to him?

Default Next year and spring break...

Hello everyone,

I have not been on the website for more than 6 months, however,
just wanted to give you a 2009 spring break update.

In Central Florida, spring break is going to be late - April 6 - 10th.

Just so - if you want to make cruise plans.

I, personally, will never cruise again - not after being told that
"I did not have the class" to sail on Royal.

Take care and farewell...
Diane

Diane, please tell us what occurred to make you feel so badly. Maybe you explained it somewhere, but I missed reading it, and hope some of us could ausage your situation...But only if you feel comfortable in telling us what happened....
