Default Towels

Does RCI provide beach towels that you take with you on excursions or do you have to bring your own?

You can pickup as many towels as you need next to the main swimming pool (the same as if you were going to use them at the pool). Just remember to return them to the same location.

They claim they will charge you $20 per towel but it was not enforced. Most of the time the towel bins by the pool were unattended and they did not have a list to check you off. This leads to people abusing the towels though. Many are left laying around and people take more then they need. You will have a fresh set in your cabin each day. If you leave them on the floor they replace them.

Don't be a towel hog. People think if they dry off once they need a new one. Save the Waves!! Or people want two each. Come on! I spent many years as a poolside Tanning Consultant and was also in charge of the towels. Could not believe how many people's vacations were ruined when we ran out of towels. Everytime little Johhny or Susie got wet, they wanted a new towel.

Your cabin attendant will also supply you with fresh/clean ones each evening as long as you return the used ones to your cabin. I have seen the towel bins at the pool when they were attended and you had to sign them out and return them, otherwise a charge for the towels.

Just returned from the Liberty. You had to go to the pool area to get towels and they used your seapass card to keep track. 20 dollar charge if they are not returned. No towels were ever brought to your room. Maybe it is different on different ships.

We always had one PP in the cabin which could be exchanged at the pool. If you went out to the pool with none you could sign more out but they really didn't enforce it. They are nice big towels and if you can imagine 3500 people using more then one each it makes quite a bit of laundry. Of course not everyone uses the pools though.

The towels were big cream colored towels but they have switched to the blue and white royal caribbean towels which are now smaller. Again it may be different on the different ships. I just got back from the Liberty on Saturday and we had the smaller towels and you had to check them out with your sea pass card.

I always let my cabin attendant know, I'd like pool towels and they always did as long as we left the used ones.
