Happy to join this fun forum! Heading to the Mediterrian this summer and have an aft cabin on the Brillance. Deck 7. Anyone had any issues or obstructions? Can't wait.

Yup, u r n 4 a treat! No obstructions and you have passenger deck above you with the lounge below you (some noise can be heard at times but worth the location and deeper balcony).
We have had an aft cabin on our last three cruises, and have an aft on two of the next three. We especially like the "corner" cabins on the Radiance class ships, such as 9256 and 8168. Very nice balconies - larger than a standard balcony. You will enjoy your aft cabin.

We are flying over on the 20th of June and hopping on board in BCN on the 22nd. Hanging out in Barcelona for a day or so before and after to eat the food and drink the wine. Then getting on the boat to head to Italy/France etc to eat the food and drink the wine. I see a pattern developing.....
I see by your ticker that you are going the trip before. We will have to compare when we get back and do reviews.

Do you know anything about the airport in Barcelona? I know very little Spanish...and need to know I will be able to find my baggage claim and my gate on my return flight home!

We are booked in 8168 for the June 3rd of 2009 sailing. although it is our 12th RCL cruise, first time in a balcony of any kind. Do you have any pictures of the cabin, or more importantly, the balcony you could share?

No, unfortunately I don't have any pictures of the balcony. Guess I never thought of it.
Anyone else out there able to help? Specifically, do you have pictures of 8168 or 9256 on any Radiance class ship? The balconies and cabins are the same from ship to ship.

Cutiecat.....you'll have no trouble at all in the Barcelona airport. We've cruised out of there 2 or three times and the airport is very user-friendly. Most signs are also in English.
We had an aft cabin on BOS in the Med in 2005. Wonderful cruise, great ship lots of glass. The only issue with the art cabin is you will walk a distance to reach the elevator. For some reason the elevators are mid ship and forward. Not a deal breaker, but for some people long walks are an issue. Mike
