Default Alcohol Experiences!! Last 6-12 months only please!!!

Just wanted to see what people's experience were with people trying to bring alcohol on the Royal Caribbean? People who take on plastic flasks....do they get caught..? Listerine bottles? just the straight bottle?

I look forward to hearing your experiences as a group of us will be traveling on one of the ships this summer and i know some people are going to try and i just would like to know what to expect.

Thanks!!

Just a 1.75 bottle in my checked bag. Twice with no problems.

On cruise critics alot of people have been using Rum Runner Flasks they are plastic flasks with plastic caps you can fill with alcohol and will not be detected in your suitcases. You can buy them on Rumrunnerflasks.com everyone I have talked to have not been caught yet with them and they are leak proof but people put them in a ziplock bag just in case.

Last month on Mariner my 18 Miller Lites made it but in another bag, my 750 of Vodka did not make it. They left an orange card in the suitcase stating I could claim it on deck 4 but I never bothered. First time it happened to me. It was also Spring Break.

I have never had a problem. Was on the SOTS in Jan. without incident. I have been on several 14 night cruises and have packed enough alcohol to last two weeks. Enjoy!!

Just got back from a 9 night cruise on EOS on April 20th out of Port Liberty. I checked a case of water bottles with a luggage tag on it. We also took two 6 packs of 16oz. cokes, three 1 liter bottles of tonic water in our checked bags. Then we used the rumrunnerflasks.com flasks to take 1.75 liters of rum and 1.75 liters of gin and a quart of amaretto. We also took lemons and limes. Everything got through, no problem, and it was Spring Break for the Northeast schools. We had 1000 teenagers on our cruise who were on break! Our friends also took plenty of alcohol and theirs got through too. So I wouldn't worry too much about it. But I would highly recommend rumrunnersflasks.com. Their flasks cannot be detected by X-ray machines - they are virtually invisible. Good luck and have fun!!

Just got back from Mariner of the Seas last week.

We had a group of 6 people on our cruise last week. We used the rum runner flasks and they worked like a charm. www.rumrunnerflasks.com

My wife and I had 3 of the large bags (2 with Rum, 1 with Tequila)
My brother and his wife: same setup.
My sister and her husband: same setup.

We were nervous for obvious reasons, but they saved us a ton of money and we just barely finished all the alcohol on the last night.

One by one, our suitcases came to our rooms, we opened them up, and sure enough, they were all there.

My uncle tried bringing a couple of bottles of tequila onboard (no Rum runners; just the bottles). They confiscated the bottles and gave them back to him on the last night.

I can see how people can hide/disguise booze and it goes undetected.

But how do you get beer onboard?
