Default Balcony VS Prominade Room

My wife and I are going to book the Voyage of the Seas thru Europe next May. We have booked balcony suites before and wanted feedback on the Prominade rooms. If anyone has any pros or cons on these room please let me know so I can make a decision; either another balcony room or the prominade rooms. Thanks

I've stayed in both types of rooms on Voyager and Freedom class ships. I personally prefer balcony rooms, but both have their advantages.

Promenade:
Pros:
-They're generally fairly dark, so if you enjoy sleeping late, you don't have to worry about the sun coming in your window.
-It's nice to be able to sit on the window seat and people watch in the Promenade.
-You can watch the parades from your window.
-They're less expensive than balcony rooms.

Cons:
-You can also hear the parades and some of the music through the window. This doesn't bother me (I'm a college student and after living in dorms, I can sleep through nearly anything) however, I know that some people don't like it.
-They seem more cramped to me.

Balcony:
Pros-
-The view! To me, the view is everything. Especially in Europe, I'd definitely want to be able to see everything.
- Room service breakfasts on my balcony is my absolute favorite thing to do.

Cons-
-More expensive.

Good luck deciding and have a great cruise!

I prefer the Balcony rooms. I have had them both. I love the sun and the ocean

The balcony will give you wonderful light, and you can see the ports as you cruise in.....

The promenade, remember to close your blinds, it's like city living:)
