I just heard Royal Caribbean has announced that My Time Dining will expand to all of their ships. I'm not sure what I think about it. On one hand the flexibility is nice but I do like to know what time dinner will be so I can plan around it. I also worry about the loss of good tablemates and servers with all the switching.
I'd be interested in others thoughts.

I agree with you 100%. I hope they don't go totally to "My Time Dining". If they give us a choice of My Time, or Traditional, it would be O.K. One of the things the lovely Mrs. Jones (Vita) and I like best about cruising, is meeting great folks at our BIG dinner table, and the friendships that develop from these dinner partners. I'll take traditional dining any time,,,,thank you.

I'm pretty sure you can set up a regular reservation time (same time every evening) but I don't know about the same table. If you meet congenial people, you can set it up to eat together every night also. If you get a waiter you like, it seems like they should be able to set you up at one of his/her tables as well, but who knows?
