Second cruise advice - WE FOUND ONE!

Hi there. My wife and I are planning our second-ever cruise, and this is what we've found. We're wondering what you 'experts' think about this, and whether it is a good deal or not.

It is a 12-night Southern Caribbean Cruise on Explorer of the Seas, departing Cape Liberty, N.J. on March 15, 2009 and returning on March 27. The itinerary includes San Juan, Charlotte Amalie, St. Maarteen, Dominica, Barbados, Antiqua and Tortola.

The cost is from $1,469 for an inside to $1,689 for an outside.

The deal we found is through AAA, and includes roundtrip motorcoach from York to the port, AAA escort and the cruise (including port charges and taxes.

Looks like a pretty good deal. Has anyone taken this, or a similar cruise.
Should I look elsewhere on the Internet for it? Is the price good? What are some of the good shore excursions available?

Any help at alll would be appreciated.

Is that price per person or total for two? You have some good stops. The shopping in st. thomas is great, barbados is cool, u can take the catamaran cruise, where u go out on the catemaran and they provide drink and food. U go snorkling off the catemaran. In ST. Martin you can go on America's cup challange, where u race the america's cup yacht. thats a few ideas. Hope this helps

That's the price per person. Is it a good deal? I think so, with the motorcoach to the port. Instead of a six-hour drive, mine will just be a couple hours, plus free parking at the AAA office.

The price sounds pretty good for a 12 day cruise plus roundtrip coach from your home. I am paying a little less for a 12 day without the ground transportation.

I would compare with a couple of other agencys..I have always found AAA, had the highest quotes when I looked...just for piece of mind.

I agree with Trip I always find AAA has the highest prices.

On that sailing my TA's rates are $1,299 inside and $1,549. oceanview.

I would shop around.
