Does the cruise line let you know what type of theme nights will be apart of your trip before you go so that you may prepare for such.

I think your Travel Agent could find out for you. I know that Costa always
has a "Roman" nite where we dressed in togas made from bed sheets.
Was really a fun nite.

As mentioned, Costa has the Toga Night, but in general, there are no special themed nights..On Halloween you will see many people dressed in costumes. We once went on an HAL oldies cruise, that had a "Hop" themed night. But themed crusies, are advertised as such, so you would know at time of booking.

Message boards are the best way to find out. NCL used to do "50's" and "Country & Western" nights.

It isn't that unusual.

Also, many cruise lines have special occasion parties like 70's nights on Princess & Cunard, or the Ascot Ball on Cunard where the ladies make up hats.

RCi will have a Western theme night. Only problem is they tend to treat it as a cynical version of Hee Haw.

It can be offensive to the Texans that sail with them....

Me? I'll take country over crap, opps, I mean rap 'music' any day
