I have done it several times on Princess. Depending on the cruise length you will get $100 to $150 shipboard credit pp. Also you will get $100 pp off the fare.

You are not locked into the cruise. You can change it or just leave it open for a future booking.

I use only NextCruise when booking. I make sure I always have 4 on hand at home. Since I used all mine up I have to get new ones next cruise (July 4 - 7).

I never done Future Cruise though.

We have always booked our next cruise while on our current cruise to get the onboard credit. How much onboard credit is determined by the length of the cruise you book.

RCI now has the nextcruise option, which is an open booking and you need not pick a specific cruise, and the deposit is only $100 per person for the open booking. When you actually book your next cruise with the nextcruise certificate, you then pay the remainer of the deposit if needed at that time.

On our last cruise, we bought 3 next cruise certificates just to stock up, and I used one for our upcoming southern Caribbean on the Adventure OTS.

is there any other advantage to buying nextcruise than the $100 dep.? I booked during the special cruise week in Oct. for a 9 night caribbean. We only had to pay 1/2 the dep. and got $100 onboard credit. We also got 4 tickets to Radio City Christmas Spectacular ( We booked 2 rooms and got 2 tickets per room). I think I got a pretty good deal. Is there a better deal booking onboard or buying nextcruise?

NextCruise gives you (just like FutureCruise) onboard credit which will be based on the length of the cruise you select one day.

3-5 Nights: $50
6-9 Nights: $100
over 9 Nights: $200

NextCruise is combinable with most other discounts and sales (not the WOW Event though). At least I have not seen any restrictions yet.

OBC only.

Let me know how the Majesty is. I will be sailing her in October for the first time in many years.
