Default confused

The more I research, the more confused I get. I understand that u have to pay extra for specialty restaurants like Portifino's, Chops,Johnny Rockets and probably Ben and Jerrys'. Soda is extra as well (allthough the cost of fountain soda is actually pennies a cup). What, if anything, (as far as food goes) is included besides the main restaurant and Windjammer Cafe. If I want an ice cream, do I have to get it from B&J, or is there a generic ice cream or pizza place?

I'm sailing on the Explorer

You should be able to get icecream without any extra, unless you want the Ben and Jerry's. Look for icecream in the Windjammer during lunch and in the afternoon. You can also order it as a dessert in the dining room as well.

There is usually free ice cream or frozen yogert around the ship. There is usually pizza available 24/7. There are several times a day they have snacks available. There is usually a 4:00 PM "Tea" with all kinds of sweets and finger sandwiches. Late night, there are snacks available. You can order 24/7 from the room service.

The Cafe Promanade is open 24 hours with sandwiches - pizza and cakes or cookies. Coffee and Tea. Food is available almost everywhere and at anytime!!!

Also, in the Solarium there are typically snacks. On Radiance there were crepes made to order, sandwiches, pizza, hotdogs, hamburgs, french fries, cookies, fresh fruit.

thanks. I was starting to think there were only secialty restaurants and snack bars. I didn't want the kids spending as crazy on food as they'll want to in the arcade.

CCC, there is a free kids arcade night at least one night on every RCI cruise. So you should definitely take your kids to the arcade that night and let them play all of the games... FOR FREE!

ccc123... you are going to love the Explorer! It's an awesome ship!! We were on her two years ago and plan to go again July 09.

You will definately not go hungary! Lots of places to eat!! Everyday at 4 my husband and I used to get coffee and these little sandwiches at the coffee shop (Seattles Best, I think) ... It makes me sad to think about it!

Have fun!
