Default Royal Caribbean dining options

We are already planning our next cruise and will probably try the Rhapsody of the Seas with Royal Caribbean. Can anyone tell me what our chances are of getting assigned a table for 2 everynight and which seating would we have the better chance of getting it. My husband and I are really looking forward to some alone time and it would just be more comfortable for us. Also do they have "available anytime" items on the dinner menu like Princess? They always offered steak, chicken or salmon in addition to the nightly choices. I have a sensitive stomach where sometimes "plain" foods do better. Any help you can give us is greatly appreciated. Cruising puts a smile on our faces like nothing else!

I've sailed Rhapsody several times while she was in Texas. I seem to recall several two-top tables. Maybe you have a chance. Good Luck with it.

First, when you book your cruise ask for a table for two. then follow up several times; next, when you arrive on ship go immediately to the dining room; even before you go to your stateroom or the windjammer. Meet with the matire 'd and ask him to show you your table, ask him if it's a table for two; if it's not a table for two ask him to find you one, either for early or late seating. I did this before and it worked. The matre'd is willing to work with you when you explain your reasons.

cheers,

The earlier you make the request the better your chances are. 2-seating is limited, some ships have more than others.

The initial table assignments are being done some 50 days out. I'd check with RCI just around that time. But don't forget, changes can be made at any time but prior to 50 days out RCI won't be able to tell you anything.

Good luck and happy sailing.

Hi! On just about every cruise ship you can order a steak or grilled chicken every single night. Just ask your server and they are usually accommodating. We have had traveling companions that wouldn't eat anything but steak (crazy, huh?) and every night a steak was prepared for them.

My husband and I have cruised a bunch and tried a table for two for the 1st time on our last cruise, and while it was nice at first, we quickly got lonely! A table for 2 isn't for everybody - I love meeting new folks and chatting. I won't ever request a private table again.

Have fun on your trip!
