Default Pasta at dinner?

Having never sailed with kids, and having never to worry about finding something I like on the menu - I have a question. Am cruising with my nieces (12 and 14) who think Kraft Dinner is a delicacy. They don't want shrimp or anything else - just pasta - maybe alfredo but otherwise pretty plain. Can I get this in the dining room at dinner?

There is a childrens menu for dinner on RCI cruises, and you will have no problem getting simple pasta dishes for your nieces. I have seen the dinning room staff even make special dishes for both adults and children when they don't see anything on the menu they want.

I'm an adult male and I order pasta with marinara or alfredo sauce everytime I cruise. There are a lot of items on the menu I won't eat. Hmmm, maybe I'm a kid at heart. No really, I'm a picky eater, they will have fish sticks and chicken fingers with fries for the kids.

Plus there is usually a buffet that has plain pasta and sauces on the side.

We were recently on the Liberty of the Seas, and my wife ordered pasta a couple of times and they were happy to acomodate her.

Ask for a kids' menu - they (and you for that matter) may order anything they want from EITHER menu. You can even order something not on either menu (within reason) and they will try their best to accommodate. I like veggies and most plates get about a tablespoonful, so I ask for a plate of steamed broccoli or asparagus - never a problem. The chicken noodle soup on the kids' menu is exceptionally good.
