We're leaving on the Adventure June 29th. We'll be in San Juan two days
prior so we'll be there plenty early. How early have you boarded the
Adventure?
Also, any great shore excursions you've taken?..we're doing Aruba,
Curacao, St. Maarten, St. Thomas.
We usually do St. John when we're in St. Thomas, but probably
won't do it this time. We'll have a 15 year old with us (girl)
Or any else you'd recommend from past Adv. cruisers.
You should be able to board around noon or so, but can't access your cabin until 1:00, so you can explore or go to the Windjammer for lunch.
I'd recommend trying the America's Cup Regatta in St. Maarten if there is open space. Its a pretty popular excursion and fills quickly, but tons of fun and work if you wish to do an active job.
I agree with Laura, you can probably board around noon, should take you about 20 min to get onboard; and your cabin won't be ready until 1pm. I've been on Explorer a sister ship to Adventure; and was in San Juan, St. Martin, St. Thomas. We went snorkling in St. Martin; I don't recommend it; we went on tour in St. Thomas to Blue Beards castle and then shopping downtown. The shopping area is nice and lots of places to browse. There is lots to do on Adventure; your daughter should keep pretty busy.

One alternative in St. Maarten I always offer is a day trip to St. Barts-very interesting and very French !

We arrived at 11:15 for our AOS 6-8/ 6-15 cruise. Doors opened at noon sharp. If you are platinum or diamond, you bypass the really long line. We were onboard at 12:20. Third family through the pictures.
I would second Donna's recommendation for the America's Cup Sailing Regatta. If available it is great fun. You can choose to be as active or inactive as you would like and you actually race another ship. Everyone loved it.
