Default Freedom of the Seas - Eastern Caribbean - Sep 21

My wife & I are considering booking the Freedom of The Seas - Eastern Caribbean cruise departing September 21 from Miami.
This would be her second cruise & my first.
Is this cruise we may book a good ship? Also where is the best place for us to book this cruise and how can we get the best deal for our money?

Thanks everyone

The Freedom OTS is onlyt a couple of years old. It's currently the largest ship class in RCI's fleet. You'll find plenty to do, and a beautiful ship. I did a ship inspection on the Freedom, and I have been on a Voyager class ship, which is similar to the Freedom OTS without the flowrider. I'm sure you'll find the Freedom OTS to be a great cruise.

As for the best price, you'll need to do some shopping around. Personally, I suggest finding a real good cruise specialist travel agent. You can also just start calling around to various big and small agencies until you find the price you're looking for.

Good luck and have a great cruise!

Majesty of the Seas - 10/03 & 02/07 & 11/08
Enchantment of the Seas - 10/04 & 10/11
Mariner of the Seas - 10/05
Vision of the Seas - 10/06 & 09/07
Carnival Liberty - 10/07
Adventure of the Seas - 9/08
Ruby Princess - 12/09
Voyager of the Seas - 9/10
Carnival Spirit - 11/10
Oasis of the Seas - 9/13

OK... we have booked FOS for November and it appears to be an amazing ship (until Oasis came along and stole the thunder!) But still... an amazing ship, so prepare for a spectacular voyage.

As far as deals go... what I have found with Royal Caribbean is that they don't allow any discounting of fares by travel agents. This being the case the price is about the same no matter where you go. However, they will bargain for your business by offering you perks and cabin credits.

We have had our best luck finding the best deal by using http://www.cruisecompete.com/
You register with them, then you input the cruise you wish to price.
Different agencies will then start sending quotes to your account and you can easily compare the deals as well as read reviews of the agencies by other cruise compete users. This is how we always price our cruises.

Best of luck to you!!

Since the Freedom OTS, there are two other large ships. Liberty OTS, 2007 and Independence OTS this year. We are going on the Independence in Jan. '09.

I was also going to suggest using cruisecompete.com
