A cruise without hot chics in bikinis is like a day without sunshine. 8)

While this is quite true and from my perspective not debatable...
Creme Brulee sort of has the same reaction but in a different part
of the brain....

Honestly, what gets my goat is when they don't describe the entree anything like what it really is....

I have had "gratinated filet of Dover Sole" which turned out to be bits of fish mixed in to mashed potatoes with butter and cheese on top. Nothing like the light piece of fish I envisioned.

I have personally been involved in fighting off the very idea of
cruising to Alaska.
This year I won and we're doing the Caribbean again.
The next cruise will probably be Europe... score another win for me.
At that point... I might not have much fight left in me !!!!

A few years ago Royal Caribbean had it's infamous "Ranch Steak". It was some piece of marinated mystery meat that was tough, flavorless and still retained the whip marks from the jockey.

It was the worst thing I've ever had on a cruise ship.

Take care,
Mike

Default ok, so back from first cruise....

Just got back last night from our Sovereign cruise. We had a great time and met some great people. As for Creme Brulee... none . Damn. As for Bananas Foster... None. Damn. However, the Baked Alaska was wonderful and the Strawberry Bisque was probably my favorite thing served. We actually preferred however the Windjammer Cafe. My husbands favorite food was the steamship round at the windjammer and his least favorite were the made to order eggs over easy that were still raw. Yuck. Over all our food was good. Not amazing, but good. We did enjoy the drink of the day on the final day... The Love Connection. Yummy. I will post a review later today or tomorrow on our entire cruise experience. K

Duck L'orange aboard the (old) Nieuw Amsterdam (1999). It came in chunks and was full of fat. It also wasn't presented very well on the plate.
