Sorry to hear that you had to cancel. I would recommend doing much of the cities on your own; you can see more out it that way. Most of the stops offer a Royal Caribbean "on your own" tour, whereby the cruise line basically provides just the transportation and a guide to answer questions while on the bus. Good Luck!
What was your favorite port of call? Did you have fun? What time did you leave the ship and head to airport? I have a ten am flight next year and the ship docks at 5am.

Trip was awesome, my favorite port of call is Naples as I went directly to Capri Island, which I think is one of the most amazing places. The calm seas are really nice, it's like sailing on a lake.
Great to here it was a fantastic trip. Since we also are leaving out of Barcelona I would like to hear what you would do again, not do , or change.
We have made reservations for a couple of ship tours and also a private car tour in Rome. We are also going to have 2 days in Barcelona before the cruise to explore.
Look forward to reading your reply!
Diamond what other ports did you visit on your cruise???

What did you think of Barcelona? I was there last May, having crossed the Atlantic on the Legend of the Seas, and loved it. We stayed for several days, loved the wide, tree lined avenues, the works of Gaudi, the Palace of Music, etc. Our crossing on the Legend was also a fabulous trip, would like to do that again. Also agree with you that Capri is fabulous.
Did you stay in Barcelona pre or post cruise? If so what hotel did you stay in? What time did your ship dock in Barcelona on last day?

Our sailing was a 7-day cruise that left round-trip from Barcelona to Nice to Florence/Pisa, Rome, Naples and Sicily. The cruise was very nice; everything worked out as it normally does when sailing on Royal Caribbean. A couple of interesting facts - In Europe they change the dinning times - Second Seating Dinner starts at 9PM and 9:15PM; as Europeans eat much later. In addition, due to some of the language barriers, they did not do the "Quest" game as it is "too fast paced" for non-english speaking folks to participate. One of the really nice things was that on deck 4 everyday from 5-8pm they did an Italian Anti-Pasta bar. Seas were very calm, no waves - weather wise it was sunny and in the high 90's the entire week.
We stayed for one night after the cruise in Barcelona at the Renaissance Hotel next to the airport. The hotel is in the middle of a business park with nothing nearby except the airport, which is a 5 minute drive. The nice part of the hotel is that 4x a day they have a free shuttle into downtown Barcelona (twice in the AM, twice in the PM). The hotel itself is nice, free shuttle to the airport, food is aweful; but so is the food at any hotel. Keep in mind that there are zero restraunts in the area, so you're limited to the food they serve.
What time did your ship arrive in barcelona and what time did they allow passengers to disembark? Thanks.
I like the Antipasta bar. that's neat.
