The review of our 9 day Voyage on the Explorer to the Eastern Caribbean has just been posted.
I noticed this is the first review since 11 April. Am I the only person on this forum to have sailed on the Explorer since that time?
I've found reviews are not only a tremendous enjoyment to read but they offer a ton of useful information, especially for those who have never cruised but would like to. Whether it be the Explorer or any other ship, wouldn't it be nice were everyone who takes a cruise to review it for the rest of us? If someone doesn't know what to write, I'm sure anyone of us would be more than willing to help them out.
My wife and I are doing the same cruise in October and we would definitely appreciate any info.I have not heard too many good things about San Juan and was wondering what everybody else thinks?
Todd I read your review, it was done very nicely. My wife and I were on Exporer in 06 and loved it. You had a wonderful time and I believe that you choose how your cruise will turn out. If you want to hate the food then you probably will. If you want to have a good time then you probably will. I don't appreciate people trashing the ships and crew. They all work hard for their money. have a wonderful day.
cheers

As alluded to in my review, my wife Fran and I stick pretty much near the ship. Of course she never passed a casino she didn't love and there's one in the Sheraton that just happened to be directly across the street from where we docked, so.........
You'll only be in San Juan about five hours. They do have some pretty highly rated excursions but for various and sundry reasons, we no longer have the energy to indulge in many of those things. Yes, I'd love to go and hop on a Seadoo but when I mentioned it, my adored wife said something to the effect that either the thing would sink, or it couldn't even get going if I got on it. She can be mighty cruel (if truthful) at times. In any event, hope and am sure, you'll have a magnificent cruise.

Thanks for your kind words and support. Both are sincerely appreciated
We just stepped off the Explorer this past Saturday after havng a wonderful New England/Canada cruise on her.
The crew was awesome, loved our steward and wait staff. The Ocean Adventure crew ROCKED, our kids spent more time there than anywhere else!
The food in the dining room and Windjammer was outstanding and we enjoyed the Cafe too. Nice touch for casual snacking.
You're right when you say you get out of a cruise what you put into it. I do my homework and by the time we're onboard we're all set to sit back and enjoy. No worries!
We had 4 days and nights of dense fog but it didn't happer our trip, just added to the mystery of our ports and made the sleeping even cozier. Mother nature at her best!
We would sail this ship again in a heartbeat, same cruise or different destination.....wouldn't matter.

We are also scheduled to sail on Explorer of the Seas this November on a 12-night cruise! We saw Explorer of the Seas last year, up close and personal when we were docked in Puerto Rico.
We also see Explorer of of the Seas in Bermuda as she is coming into port of going out (boy do you just want to swim out and get aboard)! They must have had a difficult time this week due to Hurricane Bertha because she could not come into port that day but had to wait until Tuesday morning and then left Tuesday evening.
Although I have been on many cruises, I have never written a review, or responded to one. Yours was a pleasure to read. I admit that I read the reviews for intertainment. The things people can dream up to whine about is limitless and always fun to read. I was on the Explorer in May and like all my other cruises, it was a joy.
