Default Jewel of the Seas

I´m a fan of NCL but of course I didn´t said no when I was invited to visit the Jewel of the Seas when she was in Stockholm yesterday.

It was a very nice ship and I can really understand you RCI-lovers even if I think that some of the interior things were a little too much for my taste.

The Windjammer cafe was nice, especially the outdoors in the aft, and the Solarium area around the pool was very nice and the roof which could be opened or closed depending on the weather was an excellent idea.

They showed us an balconycabin and the interior was great, better than the NCL-cabins I have seen. It did feel much smaller than NCL balconycabins and maybe I think it´s a bad idea to put the bed by the window, the sofa there feels better for me.

Overall the ship was very nice but there are still more things that make me feel that NCL is for me even if I have bigger understanding for you RCI-lovers now when I have seen the Jewel of the Seas.

Nice to get an invite to see a ship.

I'm glad you have some understanding why us RCI-lovers are "Loyal Royals".

Happy Cruising!

Glad you got to see what we RCI fans love. How nice to get an invite! We love the Windjammer layout especially the aft outdoors. I know what you mean about the bed being by the balcony being a bad idea but it becomes a good idea in the morning when DH gets up for room service delivery and just pulls the curtain so I can sleep (hide)! We will be cruising on her for the 2nd time next month and will be in Stockholm on 9/1. Can't wait to see your beautiful city/country.

Teresa, I really understand what you mean with the roomservice, that´s very good.

I hope that our weather will be good when you are in Stockholm so that you can enjoy your day as much as possible!
