Looking for 2 people to share car with on 9-28 from MCO-P.C.
Hello, My fiancee and I are going to be arriving at Orlando International Airport (MCO) on Sunday Septemeber 28th to depart for our cruise leaving at 4:00 that day at Port Canaveral. Our flight arrives at about 12:15 and we are looking for another couple to split a town car rental with us. I found a car thru aceluxury.com that is only $100 one way which is the cheapest I have found its not a per person deal and the car can fit up to 4 people so if we can find another couple to ride with us it would only be $25 a piece instead of $50. We are taking it either way but it would be nice to make it even cheaper for us! I dont wanna rent a car because that is just extra time i dont feel like we have and extra hassel. Anyways if you are interested please contact me via email i dont know if i will even check this forum again. please no wierdos or spammers only serious cruisers! my email is tiffmichelle0512@aol.com thanks! hope to hear from you soon.
There are shuttle services that are more reasonable than a private car
serice. I think Sunshine Shuttle is one of them. There is a thread
that is entitled "Florda Hotels" and you will probably see suggestions
there. Let us know what you do - we need the same type of transfer
next Jan. '09.

i looked up sunshine shuttle and they dont do transfers from orlando airport to port canaveral. I know a pivate car sounds expensive but this is actually the cheapest thing i have been able to find and believe me i have been looking!! most shuttle/car services charge by person and the company i found charges by vehicle so the town car is 100 to rent plus to $20 gratuity and up to 4 people can ride in it and split the cost. A cab is about the same but renting a town car just seems alot more luxurious than a cab to us so we will pay the extra $5 or $10 and do that. Royal carribeans shuttle is like $75 a person i think and its a bus that you have to wait to get completely full before it leaves.
The luggage will not fit in a sedan. You will need a mini-van for more than 2 folks.

yeh there is a 4 bag limit on the car and with airlines only letting you bring 1 now i dont see where that will be a huge problem. believe me ill put one in my lap if i have to. no big deal though as of right now its still just me and my fiancee so we will have plenty of room. just trying to save a little bit of money on this trip. every little bit helps!
The airlines do not limit you to one bag. I'll have 4 on our next cruise.

You can bring as many bags as you want - you just have to pay for them!!
sometimes the first one is Free and sometimes not. Depends on the airlines you are using. I think there is a 200 # limit for the cruise lines, too, BUT that's a LOT of stuff !!!

yeh hate to break it to you but there is a one bag limit on most major airlines now! and i did say most not all you will need to check with your airline before you leave. you can take more but its $25 extra for a 2nd bag and im sure even more for a 3rd and 4th. not making this up ive worked in memphis intl airport for 4 years now. the only airline thats not doing it right now in memphis is NWA but they will be doing it very soon!
Also, no cruise ship is going to weigh your bags. Take as much as you want. It is 200 pounds PER PERSON. Equivalent to 4 bags/pp.

Hello, too bad you aren't leaving out on Sept 22 that's when my husband and myself leave for our cruise out of Port Canaveral, but anyway if you haven't already booked the car check this website out http://www.aroundtheclockusa.com/771870.html this is who we are considering doing our transfer through it is $30 per person and they have shuttles running every 1/2 hour from the Orlando airport to Port Canaveral, you would come out cheaper if you two aren't able to find anyone to split the car with you
well i just booked it with around the clock so were not looking for anyone to share the car with anymore. thanks again for suggesting them! as many places as i checked i dont know how i missed them!
