Hi Dan,
You can check with the airline, they should be able to tell you what cities they offer that in...

I'm quite certain that this is only available to those flying to cities in the United States, not international destinations.

International passengers aren't even allowed to do curb side check in.

The Liberty of the Seas sails out of Miami. At MIA American is the only airlines that has international curbside check-in.

So, if he is fling AA, it looks like he can do a curbside check-in.

Will RCI do the Luggage Valet program? That's another story.

We are with Delta out of Fort Lauderdale via JFK en route Manchester, England.

That is odd. The RCI Web Site shows the Liberty of the Sea going out of Miami in October 2008.

Delta does have curbside check-in, but I cannot tell if International travelers can use it.

Maybe a call/e-mail to Delta and RCI will clear this up.

Long story "Shark" but I was originally booked on a ship out of Fort Lauderdale on the same date, hence the flight to there rather than Miami.

I read on the boards someplace that if you are Canadian, flying from a US airpot, and flying back to that same US airport, you are not qualified for the program.

Someone mentioned that you have to be a US citizen to qualify for the program.

I sent RCCL an email requesting info but they did not address the question correctly. They just said that you qualify if you fly from US and back to US.

They did not address the question if you are Canadian, do you quality.

Might send them another email.

Confusion Reigns!

Spoke with RCCL, UK office, who said that they didn't see a problem as according to their details there is nothing to say that it can't be done.

Got an email back off Delta who said NO!

Oh Dear!

I just checked the RCCL Airline Check-in and Express Luggage Service handout we got on the Liberty OTS 4 weeks ago (July 19th sailing Eastern Caribbean)

RCCL's plan is for domestic US flights only (includes Puerto Rico, Alaska and Hawaii) from Miami or Ft. Lauderdale. The entire journey must take place within the US.

Back to the UK, you clearly do not qualify. Sorry...

We did use the service for our return to Atlanta and it was great. We put our bags outside the last night and when we got to the baggage claim carousel in Atlanta, there were our bags. (And my wife said it would not work...)

They also offered this coming home from Seattle on UAL, for a $16 fee for each, nice, but didn't think it was worth it. If you are on an early flight I can see this as beneficial, but if you have the time, save the money.
