Default Freedom/Liberty OTS

We are looking at cruise options for Oct 2009. What are the specialty restarants onboard and how much do they cost?

The two specialty restaurants are Chop's Steakhouse, and Portofino's Italian restaurant. There is a $20 surcharge for the two specialty restaurants,

Both have Portofinos ( Italian) and chops grille ( Steakhouse). There is a $20 cover charge per person. Chops always is sold out but you can usually get in to Portofino's. If you do not get a reservation then just go up and speak with the manager. They do get cancellations and rarely a no show. This cover mainly goes to the gratuities of the servers there as they do not make the regular weekly tips like the waiters in the he dining room do. Both are well worth the money!!! Make your reservations early. Your Travel Agent can book these for you before arriving on the ship. If you have already cruised with RCCL you will be familiar with many of the dining room dishes. I always book the specialty restaurant on the nights that I do not care for the dining room menu. If you are not sure which menu is on which night, just ask me. I can find out for you.
