Refrigerators?

Does anyone know if there are refrigerators in the interior cabins?

Irish Shark August 26th, 2008 04:13 PM

Yes there are. The refers are not as good as the ones on Princess.

dottiel August 26th, 2008 04:29 PM

Forget putting ANYTHING in them, they don't cool squat!

Royal August 26th, 2008 06:36 PM

You are right...........they are worthless...more like a cooler..

Ours on the Explorer wasn't anywhere near as cold as our ice chests (coolers)!!!

Our room air was much cooler than that of the fridge

My husband (diabetic) needs to keep his meds cool - are the refrigerators
strong enough for that or should I request something special. Of course,
we can get all the ice we need from the room steward, right?? :?:

dottiel August 27th, 2008 07:28 AM

To be honest, I would request the ice

Seriously, the fridges are NOT cold enuf for anything to be kept cold much less cool.

If you put a bottle of water in the one we had it would only be a tad cooler than never being cooled at all.

Not worth the risk with meds.

It depends on which ship you are talking about. Last time on the Majesty, there was no fridge in the inside cabins.

dottiel August 27th, 2008 09:43 AM

Is it only suite that have fridges? I could be wrong....

sweety51pie September 4th, 2008 03:51 PM

We're going on the explorer and have an inside cabin.

Every cruise line I've been on (I've only been in balcony staterooms) have had fridges. I get to the room and take out all the crap they have in there (to try to entice you to spend money) and put my stuff in there. Mine kept things cold.

If you need something to keep medicine cold, ask the attendant, they may have something you can use to keep it cool. I know if you write ahead of your cruise, they will make accomodations for you. Good luck!

The ones on RCI are bad, but the ones on Carnival cool everything. They make sodas very cold.

dottiel September 7th, 2008 04:29 PM

I agree about the Carnival fridges!

We had FROZEN water when we used theirs
