Freedom of the Seas Grand Suite

Need help. We are booked into a jr. suite but are thinking of getting a grand suite. The trouble is one of the few that are open (1258) looks like it is under the whirlpool the extends out over the ocean. Has anyone ever stayed in one of these suites? Also are the extra perks worth it? Sure, you get to eat in the concierge lounge, but with all the food on the ship is that really a perk? I read about the pool deck having an area for suite guests only and the theater having reserved seats. Would love feedback from people who have stayed in the suites.

Hi Bonnielee, a couple of issues to take on board, if you like sunbathing on your balcony you might not get as much sunshine as you would like cause of the overhang from the whirlpool area above - regards noise I'm not too sure, when we were in GS on Splendour we were wakened every morning around 2am by the some sort of kitchen noise - never found out what is was though lol... not even worth complaining about, it was obviously just part of their cleaning routine. Regards eats in concierge lounge - not worth it, its fine for canapes before dinner but thats about all, too many other places to eat on board
