We went on Brillance of the Seas (sister ship to Jewel) to the Panama
Canal and went thru 2 locks. However, our cruise tours were different in 2007. You will love going thru the Panama Canal. It is quite a long process and the ship has to wait for daylight before it can start thru the locks.
We just loved cruising on RCCL. We did try Carnival, but preferred RCCL.
You will have a great time!!

You are going to be doing what they call a partial crossing. You will go through the first set of locks and dock at the pier, then back thru and return to Miami. This remains as one of my favorite cruises. You will love the ship and the cruise, very interesting
I am going on the Panama Canal Cruise on Jewel of The Seas on January 19, 2009. It is the 12 night cruise that goes to Aruba instead of Haiti. We will then stop in Columbia, Panama, Costa Rica and the Grand Cayman
Islands. (Cruising out of Miami). I booked a pre-cruise room at a hotel in Miami the day before the cruise in the event of bad weather or
flight delays. Can't wait. I am a true cruise addict. I usually wait until I am on the cruise ship to book excursions. Enjoy. I know you will.
