I pack a long time in advance to make sure I don't forget anything and also becuase I cannot wait until we leave to get on the ship.

Considering that I'm in my pre-cruise state...some of this rings uncomfortably true. While I don't have a cruise closet...I do admit that I have a couple of shirts that are more suitable for a cruise ship (or other type of resort) than a day walking around New York City! 8) They're not too loud but fairly tropical.

As for packing early, I created my "packing list" about a month ago...making sure that I had everything covered. However...given that we fly out on Saturday morning, and it's now early Thursday evening...I think it's time to take the suitcase out of the closet, open it up and start packing things in there!
