Default I was a trader....can you forgive me and can I come home??

Okay, I did it. I have only been on 3 RCI cruises, but I live close to Jax and thought I would try the Fascination since it was so close.

BIG MISTAKE!!! It was a terrible experience. There is NO comparison to RCI. I will never go back. I will only cruise on RCI.

I learned my lesson. Can you ever forgive me?

Of course you are forgiven....You never know until you try, so no going back. I feel pretty much as you, I did give it a try and actually had a good cruise, but its just not Royal Caribbean, just not the samel.

Yes. That's the only way to compare.

You might want to try Carnival again. The Fascination is an old ship and haven't got remodeled yet. Carnival has some very nice ships and some really new ships. Also some of them have been newely remodeled. If you want me to tell you their nicer ships just tell me.

That ship is an old rust bucket with plenty of wear and tear. Try one of their new ships like the Liberty. Bob

I have to agree... if you're going to try Carnival, at least try a nice ship!

(pssst it's traitor not trader)
(sorry... I got spelling/grammar police in my blood)

Of course, you can come back to a great cruise line, I've done that myself, only to return to rccl.

I think you compared apples to oranges, and should have chosen a newer Carnival ship, so, I think this was an unfare comparison, and you might have been a happy traitor, had you made another choice.

I sailed the Carnival Conquest last year, after many years of absence, and enjoyed every minute.

Sorry to hear it wasn't everything you expected but don't give up on them totally.

What was it that you didn't like? What RCI ships/itneraries are you comparing it to? Just curious as I've sailed both their older and newer ships, small and large and service-wise, see no difference at all. IMO, I think each line has their strengths but even that varies by ship.

I know of someone who just got off the Fascination last week and loved it and cannot wait to go again. And of course I'm booked on her in Dec so I'd love to hear more about it.
