Has anyone been on the Rhasposdy of the sea I will be cruising Australia on 11/11/08 first time to Australia and first time on Royal Caribbean I was just told that you could not wear jeans in the main dinning room during casual nights does anyone have any feed back on this (do I need go by dress pants) any other information in either the ship or the port love to hea them
The RCI FAQ does not explicitly prohibit jeans, but some folks do wear jeans. Nice jeans that are not torn and ripped. I don't like it, but on our last RCI cruise I wore jeans with a sport coat one night.
SS Norway (12 times) '85 - '97; Radiance OS 06/01; Island Princess 11/04, Grand Princess 11/04/05, Golden Princess 7/21/06, Golden Princess 2/24/07, Explorer of the Seas 12/23/07, Island Princess 11/15/08
As a retired civil servant, I love da jeans! Our experience is it's easy to do the first and last nights on board. Don't want to be a bum either but it is our comfort zone and the main reason we still do mainstream cruising as opposed to a premium line.
Enjoy your cruise on Rhapsody! I did love my cruise on Rhapsody!
I agree with Robbie jeans can easily be done on the 1st and last day of the cruise.
And as Irish said some cruisers still wear them and not just the 1st and last day.

The last and first night are a bit more casual, but we still like to wear nice casual clothes. Most people will be looking that way, you'll probably feel more confortable if you fit in with everyone at your table, plus looking nicer makes you feel even classier!
