We're going on Jewel of the Seas 12/19 to Labadee (Haiti), Cartagena (Colombia), Panama Canal, Montego Bay (Jamaica) and Georgetown (Grand Cayman). We've always gone with the cruise lines' excursions, but they are really pricey. I did book one trip, a river tubing excursion in Jamaica, and was surprised to find they already billed my credit card! Our past experience with other lines had all our trips billed at the end of the trip.
Any suggestions? Are the locals waiting at the docks to try to get you to take their tours? What if you just want to go to a beach -- is it worth paying RCCL's cost not only to get a great beach but to insure that you'll get back to the ship on time?
Any other thoughts about great places to see on this cruise?
