Default Soy milk

I will be going on the Grandeur of the Seas next month. Do the ships have soy or rice milk?

I am guessing here; I would think that some passengers may be lactose intolerant, so soy or rice milk might be on board.

Very quite coincidently, I tried some last night. My neighbor asked me to pick some up from the store among other things and I drank a little bit. While it is not bad, it did not taste like milk. I seemed sweeter and thicker. I drink 2% milk though. Apparently, it is pretty good for you but cost about $1 more than milk for half a gallon.

When cruising with RC in 2004, i asked for soy. It took a few minutes but the waiter came back with a quart of the vanilla stuff and told me to put it in my fridge for future use. Made my breakfasts from that day good. I would suggest to ask for sure.

Soy milk (and other special diet needs) can be pre-arranged. Here is an excerpt from the RCCL website:

Lactose-free/soy milk, Ensure, and kosher meals are no extra charge. All you have to do is notify us at least 45 days prior to sailing. Just send an e-mail that includes the guests' names, reservation ID number, ship's name and voyage date to the relevant address below:

Food allergies - foodallergies@rccl.com

Please refer to the website for complete info.
