Default WATER from taps, what if you get some..can you get sick?

The best thing about the cruise will be having everything right there and right now, BUT...what happens if you mistaking get some tap water pn your tooth brush..or what about shower water inside your mouth? Has anyone ever gotten sick from the water on board, does anyone ever brush their teeth with that water also..what do the most you do please. Do I need to go on board with a FEW bottle of water or what? Let me now. Thanks?

The tap water is 100% safe. Better than what you will find in most ports.

BTW--Welcome to CruiseMates.

People get sick from NOT using the water. The water on any major cruise line is fine, some rated better quality than bottled water.

The water is perfectly safe from the tap. It is a lot safer than any water from the ports.

It is fine to drink, but I am sure the water in the lido deck rest. will taste better.

That virus thingy is better known as the Norwalk Virus. It come from people not washing their hands after using the bathroom. The water on the ship is actually of better quality than the tap water at home.

The water on the ships is better than most water in the cities and towns wher we live.

A lot of the times, the virus is brought onboard by a passenger and then spread around that way. I believe you catch more germs when flying in the closed cabins than on a cruiseship. Just wash hands regularly when traveling with a sanitary soap, that should help some.
