What 2 to do: $ and moving on board credit, coupons..?
Spoke an RCL rep. and it sounded like if you have $57 or whatever, if you talk to the pursuer they will move that to the next cruise. All I have been told is can Not transfer any remainder money but it gets credited/refunded back to the card, and you start a New sea pass.
So, does anyone have any other suggestions around not carrying much $ on being smart about the purchases?
if you are using cash to put deposits down on your Sign & Sail card; they will issue a check at the end of the cruise for the balance
if you use a debit or credit card; they don't charge the deposit they only run the exact charges (i.e., they place a hold on your card; a set dollar amount for each day of the cruise; then when the cruise is over they only charge your card what you spent).
so if you want to have some spending cash; for bingo, casino's, shore purchases, etc. and don't want to carry a bunch of cash at once on board; you can cash checks and travelor checks at the pursers desk; there are ATM's (For a fee) on all the ships; there are ATM's in port (for a fee as well). It is best to have some small bills; nothing bigger than a 20 to have on hand; there are safes in the cabins so you don't have to carry it all with you in port or around the ship.
does this help?
