I was in cabin #7694. I posted some pictures of the cabin and views from the balcony in the Cruisemates Picture Gallery: Explorer of the Seas - Christmas.
Deck 6 is the lowest passenger deck on the aft of the ship. We were luck to have a cabin in the middle of the aft of the ship. I think some cabins on the ends may have obstructive views, but I'm not exactly sure. One thing about aft cabins, the balconies are a bit bigger than those on the side. We had two lounge chairs, two regular chairs and a big table - a lot of room! I would stay in an aft cabin again, if I had the chance.

Have sailed 3x with an aft balcony and only had a problem witht the soot on my last cruise. Black ash was on the balcony chairs most mornings but I would tell the cabin steward and it was cleaned up in a timely fashion. Bob
The aft cabins on Voyager and Freedom Class ships are those at the very rear of the ship. As other posters have indicated, the cabins themselves are pretty much the same size as others of that category. The difference lies, of course, in the size of the balcony which is larger, sometimes much larger, than the standard balconies along the port (left) and starboard (right) sides of the vessel. I don't know if such is the case on other lines and vessel configurations.
Oh thank you so much, I was just wondering what they were, my parents had one booked but then changed their mind because my mom thought the ceiling had a slant in it, she changed to a side one... and booked me and my sister a promenade cabin, i'm very excited.
Thanks for the answers
