He probably should have a jacket on but when we sailed last year I saw lots of gentlemen with out a jacket. Plus half the men I saw with jackets took them off right after sitting down. I am not saying it is right but I know things can get crazy the day before you leave so don't stress yourself too much and have a great trip.
Thank you so much, I have been stressing and your answer does relieve some of it - if I can figure out how to get there tonight we will - if not I guess we'll just go with the flow. He definately is not the Tux type and it is only 1 night because it is a 4 night cruise.
My hubby didn't have a jacket on our first two cruises he just wore dress pants and a shirt and tie. He did finally buy a suit for the cruise we went on in September on the Liberty, good thing we were invited to have dinner with the Staff Captain and he would have felt out of place without a jacket on (even though one gentlemen fron Isreal didn't even have a tie on at the Capts dinner). Personally I wouldn't worry to much about it he wouldn't be the only one without a jacket on.

I wouldn't worry about the jacket. A lot of people don't where them.
