Default Specialty restaurants on Adventure OTS

first time cruiser here again!...

I am confused about the specialty restaurants on the ship. I know there is an extra charge for those. Adventure OTS has Johny Rockets and Portofinos. I saw on a previous message board that Johny Rockets is $4.95...is that a person despite what you order...also do we tip in addition to that?

Thanks for your patience...just trying to figure out how everything works before we depart!

The $4.95 charge is for entrance to Johnny Rockets. The price includes all you can eat off the menu, just like in the dining room. So order as many appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, fries, onion rings, and desserts as you want, it's all included in the $4.95 charge. It doesn't include soda or milk shakes, they are extra. After you eat, your waiter will charge your Seapass card $4.95 per person, and whatever additional you had to drink. You can then add a tip when you sign the charge slip.

The Portifino's is the same. It's a $20 charge per person and eat as much as you want, drinks are extra (unless you purchased the wine with dinner package in the dining room, that will transfer over to Portifino's). I was just on the Adventure OTS in October 2008, and I can say the Portifino's dining experience was WELL WORTH the charge! It was our 5th wedding anniversery, and the waiters and staff made the dining experience a VERY memorable one for us. And the food was spectacular!

Have a great cruise! The Adventure of the Seas is a great ship.

The fee at Portofino's and Chop's includes the tip but most people add a little more. I read somewhere that Johnny Rockets increased to $5.95 but haven't seen confirmation.

Johnny Rockets did increase from $3.95 to $4.95 this past fall.
