We didn't do the tubing but did the bamboo raft, the people on the tubes were on the same river with us and the river has hardly any current to it the tubing guides have small paddles they use to move them down river. Tell your wife not to worry it is a beautiful river and very relaxing if she is too worried maybe try the bamboo rafts it was a blast and once in a lifetime experience.

its not white-water tubing or anything like that, as the others have said it is a very gentle ride, their is a slight current to push you along but thats about it, there are a couple of places where it might get slightly bumpy but thats about the extent of it. It is a fun, relaxing excursion
We took our kids (14 and 11 at the time), and we all LOVED it!! There were 2 guides that swam the whole way with us. It does get a little bumpy in some parts, but that just made it all the more fun. I would do it again in a heartbeat. One tuber tipped over, but the guide was right there to help him. The water is not that deep. We did stop at one area to take an optional jump off a cliff. That was a riot!
