You can still get hard copy docs. The cruiselines will give you a choice between e-docs or hard copy. However, the cruiselines will default now to edocs, so if you want hard copy, you may have to request them specifically. If your booking is close in (less than 30 - 45 days out) to the sailing date, the cruiseline will mandate e-docs.

and just because you ask for one version over the other doesn't mean you will get it..
for the last 2 cruises, i asked for edocs. I got paper ones in the mail in November and eDocs in Feb. I just opened up my excel template and updated my own verison...and the porters at Cape Liberty LOVED THEM...i swear it was the same guy...a couple years back i did the same thing...he siad...in a VERY JOISEY accent...
"hey hon, dey are nicer...better den what we got here hon.....have fun hon....." he got a very nice tip...and my bags all arrived together....WAY before muster!
Since you have access to the internet go to RCI's website and print out your cruise documents, put them in an envelope and stick them in your mailbox. Problem solved... You can even put them in the mailbox as often as you like.

oh no , i want to save my paper and ink , on the other hand , I love to see the luggage tag in color :-)
Even if your preferences are hard copy , TA will try to send u E-Docs
I always try to get paper docs for my clients so don't know, or care, if I am the exception or the rule.
My TA also get the paper docs for me. Ever since she's been my travel agent (7 years now) we'll make a lunch date and she'll bring the documents with her. Sort of a "ritual" if you will.
Give me the thrill of receiving the hard copy in the mail everytime! I love those little booklets, even if they aren't as nicely put together than they used to be. I love the pre-printed, color luggage tags, too! It just looks more official to me and love holding it while doing the doc dance!
I agree, it is always exciting to open the mailbox and find your docs then do the doc dance all the way back to the house. Hard copies always, and I still have all of them from previous cruises.
