Default wine/beer prices

How much does alcohol cost on the cruise ship:

for a glass of wine?
glass of beer?

I would just have a couple of glasses with dinner so I don't think a wine package is feasible - I'm the only one who drinks.

You will play the sames prices as if you went to a nice bar. Beer's around $5. Mixed drinks and froo-froo drinks are more. Wine costs anywhere from $6 - $15 a glass depending on which wine you pick.

Thanks to all, I thought the prices might be way over the top but they look comprable to any resort prices.

hmmm, just lost my post, so here we go again. Are you aware that you can order a bottle of wine, drink as much as you wish, and have the bottle recorked, to be served again at your next meal (lunch or dinner)?

This is a better way to go, financially, I believe. I always do this.

You can also carry on your own wine. One bottle per person and just pay a corkage fee at dinner or just open it up in your room. corkage fee is only $15. I carry on my own wine all the time.

Bottom line is.....alcohol will add to the price of your cruise...a lot..... if you can affor pay for it. ....If not " Rum Runner Cruise Kit"....... 'Google it' ....take your boose with you. Worse case ...you get caught they keep until the end of the cruise.....put it in your carry on...not checked luggage.

I thought RCL would not allow you to bring booze onboard.
I know some other lines do allow a bottle/pp but I don't think RCL is one of them.

It'll be confiscated and returned to you at the end of the cruise.

No longer true - you are not permitted to bring ANY alcoholic beverages onboard. I think this policy has been in effect since 2005 or 2006.

Hmmm I know I took a bottle on my Grandeur of the Seas cruise last year. I don't think it was hidden. Maybe MSblackjack helped me carry it in her luggage.
