Default Texas Hold Em on Freedom of the Seas

We will be on FOS on its Sept 6, 2009 sailing. My husband is a huge Texas Hold Em player and wants to know about possible Tournments on board. Do they have theses tournaments and if so how do you register? Is is done ahead of time? Do they have dealers? And what is the usual buy in? So many questions. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks Debs

Hi Debs.

I did a search and what I found was that Freedom of the Seas only has the electronic table for Texas Holdem.

One poster wrote: "They did hold 2 tournaments during the 7 days and I believe the buy in was somewhere around $150 or so. Other than that, the only tables with actual dealers are Let it Ride, Caribbean Stud, Blackjack and Roulette. "

Announcements for sign up should be in the Daily Compass.

This info is dated Feb. 2009.

Here's a pic of the table on Freedom.

Default Thank You Very Much

Thank You for the pictures and the information. I don't know how Hubby will feel about the electronic dealer, but he does play on line a lot as well so maybe it will be okay. We will see, amybe less time on the table and more money and shopping time instead....

I just got off of the Grandeur, and they also had this electronic table, and also had the tournaments with them, so it seems fleetwide.

I too have played on this table. On the Explorer they offered one or two tournaments a day and they ranged from $60 to $250 per tournament. As soon as the casino opened I believe I was able to register for tournaments. They sell out fast - most of the time. When there is not a tournament there is usually a $1-2 no limit cash game. You can get a poker card at the cage and load it with money and then if there is a seat available at the no limit game you just sit and use your poker card. For the tournament you can buy it at the cage with your regular sail and sign card or cash.
