I am new to this board and have only cruised a few times on Disney. I am concerened about smoking on board RCL ships. My husband is allergic and I just plan hate the smoke. Can anyone tell me how this line does with smoking areas or do they allow it everywhere? I do not want to have my vacation ruined because of smoke. Thanks so much for any info!
There are only certain "smoking" areas on the ship, one being the casino. There is one side of the ship, outside where they allow it, so you shouldn't be bothered by smoke.. All the theaters and restaurants are smoke free.
Cruisemates just put up an article on Smoking policies of all the cruise lines. Which is nice because sometimes you couldn't find the information very easily on the cruiselines website. Here is a link to the article. http://www.cruisemates.com/articles/...ing-051809.cfm This is the part from the article about RCL. I'm putting this in quote because I didn't write this and I don't want any copywrite problems.
Royal Caribbean International
Royal Caribbean is unique in that their smoking policy prohibits smoking in cabins, but allows it on private balconies. Smoking is also allowed on the starboard side of the open decks around the ship. There are also designated smoking areas provided in some of the public rooms, such as the selected bars and lounges.
