Default What a waste of money, DON'T BUY IT....

We bought the Cruise in Review DVD from our trip on Explorer on April 17th.

What a waste....

They use stock photos, use other trips videos and not yours.
There are not video of the islands themselves with "YOUR" ship people.
The clips are so fast that you can barely see anyone in them.
They use effects in it and blur things out, rotate them and snipits that are hard to see.
They used 2 minutes of the Quest game, no video of sexy legs, they used the whole belly flop contest, 2 minutes of comedians, but 10 minutes of Vibeology show, 3 minutes of the ice show.

Just my opionion that they could of done much better producing a DVD of my cruise rather than use stock video and other past cruises.

What you see on the tv in your room is the whole video, so if you aint in it you wont be. They say it is only part of the dvd, the other part is the stock stuff.

I don't know who puts the final video together but sometimes you get 2 minutes of one activity and 10 minutes of another. And I agree with the stock photos they should use pictures of that actual sailing.

I'll only buy it if anyone in my cruising party is in.

All I can say is the one we got last year didn't appear to have any "stock footage" that we could tell and we too were in it...twice and neither time was embarrassing either!

I was watching the cruise in review video in the photo area on board and it didn't look like it was worth buying. I take plenty of my own photos and video which I edit and burn to DVD. I just finished part one of two DVDs which is 45 minutes long. When I finish part two I will then have time to post a full review.

I purchased the one from our cruise on the Liberty OTS and we and some people we made friends with were in it several times. For us it was worth the money.

I remember buying one on my first cruise 21 years ago, and it was LONG, trying to get everyone. Haven't bought one since. I think I only watched it a couple of times as well.

But on RCCL, I love the farewell show in the lounge where they show the footage from the current cruise. It's sad, as it signals the end, but it is also happy, as it always shows what a great time everyone has had.

I was in my cruise in review DVD, so was my wife and so were our friends. They showed footage of our entire cruise and people from our ship. All the main events; belly flop, sexy legs, disco night, etc, were all pics from people on our cruise.
