Default RCCL Shareholder Benefit

Does anyone know when you will be notified that the Shareholder Onboard credit has been given? I've faxed the paperwork today for my cruise next week.

Thanks!

It should show up in your account the first or second day of the cruise, it sometimes take a little time, but you don't get any kind of notice.

Yes, it takes a while for the credits to show up.

The best advise I can give you on this is to always PDF all your documents and email them to Royal Caribbean instead of faxing. If you email them, they will respond and "confirm" that the credit is now associated to your sailing. I always print my PDFs and the response email and bring with me if I don't see the credit while onboard. To date I've never had a problem, but it always made me feel better to have some tangible evidence instead of having to start an argument with guest relations.

Default Interested in Prebook credit and Shareholder credit

Do you know if you can receive both a Shareholder credit and a prebook credit? We usually book our next cruise while on the ship. This gives us a $200 credit for the next sailing. I thought I read somewhere that you can't get both credits. Has anyone received both?

We booked another cruise while on the Independence in January. We were told that you cannot use both the shareholder credit and the pre-booking credit together. Also, as soon as you fax in your documentation for the shareholder credit, you can email, (shareholderbenefit@rccl.com). They will email you very quickly that the credit has been applied and to what reservation number it was applied to. Hope this helps! Happy cruising everyone!

I've just done this so I hope I hear back from them today or tomorrow since I sail on Friday. I'm taking a brokerage statement with me just in case.

JSnow,
You can also call RCI Crown & Anchor number (800-526-9723). Give them your reservation number, and they can pull up all OBCs/benefits that you currently have coming. Hope this helps! You leave Friday! I leave Saturday! Enjoy your cruise!!

FYI, I used my shareholder benefit on my recent cruise. I just returned this week. Anyway, when I got onboard I waited a few days to see if the credit posted. It didn't. I went to customer service, they sent an email to the Miami office. It took me a week but Miami finally sent an email back to the ship and said the credit would be applied. I got my $200 obc, for my sailing but it took myself and a very hard working customer relations agent to get it done.

I never know until I check my on board account after getting on ship.
Bad news for me; maybe you:
Signing for a cruise under RCCL's WOW promotion resulted in 200 on board $$$ added to my account. Recently, I discovered that that is the MAXIMUM allowed by RCCL. Therefore, I need not apply for the $200. shareholder benefit. I intend to try anyway and hope they do not catch it.
The Millers---going on the IOS in Nov. 2009.
P.S. I suggest you check the ***edited to remove commercial reference*** web site which seems much larger than this site for good info.
