Default compare room sizes

We have only sailed RCCL once a very long time ago. It was the Majesty of the Seas, and our outside cabin room was sooooo small. I since have sailed Carnival 5 times and really like the size of the rooms ( balcony ). Can you tell me if the newer ships like Liberty of the Seas rooms are much nicer in size than the Majesty.....we could put an arm out and lean and touch the other wall, it was like a big closet compared to our Carnival rooms.........I loved the food and service on RCCL and would like to try it again, but not if the rooms are that tiny....I know we don't spend hardly any time in there, except the balcony, but it really does make a difference.....especially since they are more expensive than Carnival. It's not the $$$ I worry about...it's if we will feel cramped.

Those older Royal Caribbean ships do have tiny cabins, not true for the newer ones. The cabins on Liberty of the Seas will seem twice as big, not to worry, also very nicely layed out.

Our you wanting to compare a standard balcony room, if so here are the dimentions. On RCI Freedom class ships
Superior balcony 214sq feet, with 68sq balcony
deluxe/balcony: 200 sq ft with 60 sq balcony

On Carnival Splendour the sizes are

balcony cabin: 185 sq ft/balcony 35 sqft

I have only cruised with Carnival, but I would love to try Royal Caribbean, but I too am a bit worried about the room size on Royal Caribbean. I'm so used to the 185 sq. feet in the standard cabins on Carnival.

I am sorry Joie
to hear that. Those are the options when you travel with Royal caribbean- Majesty of the Seas. Or you can take the Liberty of the seas, but if you really like majestic , ( you will not have an option )

Have a nice day

I had the exact same concern last year when we were booked on Freedom OTS in a 152sf inside cabin after being used to Carnival's 185sf.

All of Majesty OTS inside cabins are 119sf.
Liberty OTS standard inside cabins are 152sf.
You will be blown away by the elegance of this magnificent freedom class ship. You'll have a hard time ever setting foot on Carnival again.
I missed having 2 things that Carnival provided...on deck laundry rooms and those little cocktail tables in the main showroom (Royal has cup holders in the arms of the chair)

The use of space in the cabin was superb and we were quite comfortable. You have nothing to worry about.... slide your bags under the bed and you're all set. Suz liked the bathrooms on Royal way more than on Carnival. You're going to LOVE liberty Of The Seas!
